Tenerife - the most beautiful place on the island

        Masca is a pitoresque hamlet situated between great high mountains with a wonderful flora like you cannot find on any other part of the island. What makes Masca so beautiful is the central position along a ridge pointing out to the sky, giving the place a feeling of Machu Pichu. On each side there are steep ravines covered in green, making the scenery more dramatic.

        The landscape is so imposing and not only in this place, but also the road until here (TF-436). All along the way I was covered in goosebumps and I felt so impressed that I was struggling to keep my tears of joy 😍. In my opinion is the most wonderful place on the island.

        We had lunch at Restaurante El Guanche - Alte Schule which serves only vegan food. Before it became a restaurant, it served as a local school. We had to wait for a seat but not more than 10-15min and we went on the terrace where we had a great view of the Masca Gorge. They don’t have many dishes in the menu, but all of them sound and look appetizing. So we ordered 4 dishes to share together and one lemonade (best lemonade we’ve ever drink) and everything priced 37€. They were all absolutely delicious. I cannot remember their name, but I will leave photos of them in here. It may sound weird, but if you get the chance to come here, please go to the bathroom for a stunning surprise at its window 😂.

        Besides the beauty and popularity of this place, another reason we came here was the cactus fresh 🌵. Unfortunately for us, it was too early for it and the fruits were not ripe enough to harvest. A good period to try the cactus fresh would be in the autumn or winter.
